After NECC this summer, I was thinking about how I'd like more opportunities to talk to people, but also I'd like more on the in-the-trenches "how does this work with a class and how do you structure/schedule?" stuff. Not that this could ever be a total future summit topic, but it would be wonderful to have one speaker discuss overall approaches and resources on the management side of increasingly complicated projects.

And today on LM_NET, Jeff Hastings says it really well:
".....So where am I going with this? Well, I guess the recent SLJ article
entitled "Things That Keeps Us Up at Night," which was excellent, by the
way, got me thinking about what really keeps ME up at night. With me,
it's never really about whether or not to constantly investigate the
potentials of new media and methods, it's about puzzling out how in the
world you can make them actually work educationally in the hands of a
community of twelve year olds. THAT's what keeps me awake at night. And
THAT I think is what we don't discuss enough."

Thanks, Melissa. After sharing this at the meeting, we talked about following up with some of the attendees to see how their plans following up the summit worked out. The practical takeaway is important.
